New Images of Chinese J-31/ F-60 Shen Fei Stealth Fighter Jet

Some new Images of the J-31/ F-60 Shen Fei fifth generation stealth fighter jet during its test flight.  The J-31 fighter is the 2nd Chinese stealth jet which flew for around 11 minutes on Wednesday.

The J-31/ F-60 fifth generation stealth fighter jet which will will carry beyond visual range (BVR) air to air missiles, short range infrared homing air-to-air missiles and air to ground precision guided weapons. 

The J-31 may also be used as a carrier-based fifth generation stealth fighter jet complement to the conventional Shenyang J-15 Flying Shark Carrier Based Fighter Jet.


It will perform role similar to that of the American F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter (JSF).

Looks like a copy of F-35, only it has twin engine

To meet this future threat. Singapore , Japan and S. Korea should consider a mix of the F15 Silent Eagle for Interceptor duties and F 35 A for strike duties. Also S. Korea and Japan should have a squad of F 35 B for Sea Deployment and rough airfield forward deployment. The F35 B may also be a superior dog fighter due to thrust vectoring capability.

Singapore has no quarrels with China and close ties with Beijing.
